With the introduction of electrical lighting on the platforms, in the building and the connected railway systems, several substations had to be set up ... but more and more power had to be made available. The transformers of the time still had low power ratings and a very compact, simple design.
"A filled oil tank with an internal transformer, so to speak". At a later date, these transformers were replaced by more modern ones and the buildings were partly
plastered. The model of our model was already created at the end of epoch 1 and was erected at various stations with the advent of electric lighting.
We know several locations, among them e.g. Breslau. There it was supplied from the power station and made the operating current available for the station and the direct sheds. This type can also be found in some industrial companies.
Some of the buildings and similar transformer stations have survived to this day. The generous planning at that time permits the further use by the exchange against more efficient transformations (by the folding doors or by the "wooden roof").

Hint:
When assembling the cardboard kit, please use only white glue which does not contain any admixtures such as quartz sand. These automatically lead to unwanted gaps ! For this reason we recommend "Bindan RS". (with which we have gathered the best experience), which you can also order from us.
With the kits you only need very (!) little glue, because we connect flat parts with each other. A light wetting is enough.
Window glass is glued with commercially available all-purpose adhesive.
