The role model:
Already at the beginning of the last century, more and more marshalling yards and BW were rapidly developed. In the case of the larger railway facilities, small ancillary accommodation for the wagon and shunting personnel next to the switch roads was not sufficient. Also the ways were often much too long from one end to the other. After all, there was still a lot of manual work to do: coupling and uncoupling, braking the rolling wagon.
Deshab was created directly between the tracks (naturally in compliance with the clearance gauge). Initially made of wood, later also in solid construction.
The doors and lounges at the head ends, which are connected by a central aisle, are striking and due to the safety of the personnel. In the middle part tools and one or the other spare part (e.g. brake hoses for small repairs) were stored. In the later epochs antennas for shunting radio were installed.
our model:
In order to come as close as possible to the model, we provided the barrack with a precision engraving in real wood optics. In this way, in addition to the realistic structure, we also achieve the effect of a peeling colour.
- typical windows from epoch 1 onwards
- can be used between the tracks
- Easy to assemble due to tap connections
- solid-coloured cardboard, no further colour treatment is required. The accommodation of the skate shoes in the pictures was neither aged nor varnished !
- elaborate precision engraving in real wood look and the effect of peeling paint (pixel by pixel engraved, which unfortunately costs a lot of expensive laser time)
- Precision engraving in real wood optics for a scale and realistic wood structure
- fine engraving of the roof structure with weathered optics
- predetermined breaking points for an optional light function/cabling in the base plate
- movable doors in the inner walls
- bright interior walls for individual colouring (according to own ideas)
- Dimensions in mm: L/W/H : 127 x 25 x 34

Hint:
When assembling the cardboard kit, please use only white glue which does not contain any admixtures such as quartz sand. These automatically lead to unwanted gaps ! For this reason we recommend "Bindan RS". (with which we have gathered the best experience), which you can also order from us.
With the kits you only need very (!) little glue, because we connect flat parts with each other. A light wetting is enough.
Window glass is glued with commercially available all-purpose adhesive.
